- 1

Click the button above. GETRTS goes to your clipboard and Alpian opens in a new tab.
- 2
Get the Alpian app
It's on iOS and Android. Start the sign-up, it takes a few minutes.
- 3
Paste GETRTS, then verify your ID
Drop the code into the referral or promo field. Then scan your ID or passport.
- 4
Send in CHF 500
Transfer at least CHF 500 from a Swiss bank account in your own name. The CHF 55 follows, and the fee credit kicks in by itself once you invest.
Conditions
- New Alpian clients only, one bonus per person.
- The code GETRTS has to go in during sign-up. You can't add it later, so don't forget it.
- You get the CHF 55 after a first deposit of at least CHF 500. That money isn't blocked; you can use it straight away.
- The extra credit (up to CHF 65) comes off your investment fees, wealth management or Pillar 3a, for 12 months.
- Your first transfer has to come from a Swiss bank account in your name. Revolut, Wise and PayPal won't activate the account.
What is Alpian?
Alpian is a digital private bank from Geneva with a full FINMA banking licence. So your deposits get esisuisse protection up to CHF 100,000, like at any Swiss bank. That matters more than people think when comparing it to app-only players.
One app covers a lot: a free account in CHF, EUR, USD and GBP, a Pillar 3a in BlackRock index funds, managed portfolios from CHF 10,000 (with a real advisor you can call), and the Amex Gold. The pitch is private-banking service without a private-banking minimum.
Where the offer applies
What does Alpian cost?
The account itself costs nothing. No opening fee, no monthly fee, no closing fee, and CHF card payments are free. Currency exchange runs at the interbank rate plus a small margin, which usually beats what a traditional bank charges you.
The paid parts are optional. The Pillar 3a costs 0.60% a year plus about 0.15% in fund costs (minimum first deposit: CHF 300). The Amex Gold is CHF 175 in year one, then CHF 350. How does that 3a fee compare? Check our Pillar 3a fee comparison.
Alpian vs Revolut vs neon: which one fits you?
Revolut is cheaper when you travel and packs more features, but Swiss clients bank with its EU entity, so no esisuisse cover. neon is the simplest free Swiss account and has TWINT built in. Alpian lands in the middle: a real Swiss bank, free multi-currency accounts, and investing plus 3a in the same app.
My take: if you just want a free daily account with TWINT, go neon. If you hold several currencies and want to invest with a Swiss bank, Alpian makes more sense. The full picture is in the best private accounts.
Alpian review: is it worth it?
If you want a Swiss-licensed bank that handles multiple currencies and investing in one app, Alpian is a good pick. And with GETRTS, switching pays: CHF 55 in cash for money you keep, plus up to CHF 65 off your investment fees in year one.
Two things bug me, though. TWINT only works through TWINT Prepaid, which is clunky. And at 0.60%, the 3a costs more than VIAC or finpension. If the 3a is all you're after, compare first.
Alpian: frequently asked questions
What is the Alpian promo code?
It's GETRTS. Enter it when you open your account. You get CHF 55 after a first deposit of CHF 500, plus up to CHF 65 off investment fees for a year. That's up to CHF 120 in total.
Is there an Alpian referral code?
Yes, and it's the same thing. Alpian uses one field for both referral and promo codes, so GETRTS works there and unlocks the full bonus of up to CHF 120. Just note you only get one code per account.
How much does an Alpian account cost?
Nothing. No opening, account or closing fees, and CHF card payments are free. You only pay for extras you choose: wealth management from 0.5% a year, the Pillar 3a at 0.60% a year, or the Amex Gold (CHF 175 in year one).
Does Alpian have a FINMA licence?
Yes. Alpian SA holds a full Swiss banking licence from FINMA. Your deposits are covered by esisuisse up to CHF 100,000, exactly as at any other Swiss bank.
How do I open an Alpian account?
Download the app, fill in your details and the code GETRTS, then verify with your ID or passport. You activate the account with a first transfer from a Swiss bank account in your name. The whole thing takes a few minutes.
How do I open a Pillar 3a with Alpian?
Open the Alpian account first, then add the 3a in the app. You pick one of nine strategies, from moderate to very dynamic (one even holds 5% Bitcoin), and put in at least CHF 300. The 3a runs through the Lemania foundations.
Does TWINT work with Alpian?
Not directly, which is a bit annoying. The workaround is TWINT Prepaid: you top it up from your Alpian account by QR bank transfer. The top-up is free and in CHF.
